Mounts are animals or vehicles players can summon in Eorzea for faster transportation. Some mounts may be obtained through challenging content like extreme trials; others can be purchased directly from NPCs with raw gil.
Some mounts feature unique animation or music when used by the player, and some even have names, such as Calydontis or Sil’dihn Throne.
Resplendent Vessel of Ronka

Patch 5.5 introduced this mount as a FFxiv Gil-sink mount; its sole purpose being spending money. No dungeons, raids, or collection rewards are linked with it – rather, its value lies entirely in spending it!
However, for certain players it could be well worth their while to invest in this mount. Not only does it look incredible and show off achievements with style but its great for completionists and achievement hunters – though casual gamers might be put off. That may be for the best though as earning such a mount takes time; make sure you are properly prepared before purchasing one!
Lunar Whale
Mounts in Final Fantasy XIV are essential, serving to represent players’ status and achievements as well as speed up movement across the game world. YouTuber Louis ‘Super Louis 64’ Hamilton even added sensors into his blanket so that when he sits or gets off of it it activates in-game macros automatically – now that’s dedication! The SDS Fenrir, based on Cloud Strife’s bike from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children, is the most notable paid mount. This motorcycle is often chosen by players looking for quick movement through the game; additionally it can be found featured on collectible items from Square Enix such as figurines or t-shirts featuring it. All mounts can be enhanced in terms of movement speed by completing Main Scenario Quests as well as Riding Maps.
