However, he came up with the idea for this third film and was on board as an executive producer. The first two Paddington films were very entertaining and full of charm, and there were some great cameos.
This film never really gets going, and you wonder what happened to the writers
The performances are generally a bit clunky or barely fleshed out, and there are very few jokes. It’s a real shame, because Paddington 2 in particular was a gem, driven largely by Hugh Grant, who is excellent but cleverly supported by the prison crew.
Paddington 3 is a huge success
it needed a much better script, more fleshed out characters, and funnier action scenes. An hour after watching it, you might not remember it at all…
